The installation of new process lines allows manufacturing facilities to expand production capacity, introduce new product ranges or improve operational efficiency.

Our work typically begins with the preparation of production areas to accommodate new equipment and operational layouts.

This can include structural modifications, equipment bases, service penetrations, hygienic wall and floor interfaces, and the reconfiguration of internal spaces to support production flow.

We coordinate closely with process engineers and equipment suppliers to ensure that building works align with the technical requirements of each process line.

The successful installation of a new line relies on the correct integration of building services. Ambrey Baker coordinates and installs supporting infrastructure including drainage systems, power supplies, compressed air, ventilation, water services and other process utilities.

In food production environments, drainage design and hygienic construction are developed with reference to recognised hygiene expectations and project-specific requirements.

Where building works interface directly with processing equipment, hygienic requirements may also be informed by standards such as BS EN 1672-2 for food processing machinery. Electrical installations and associated infrastructure are delivered in accordance with BS 7671 and the relevant Building Regulations requirements.

Many process line installations take place within live operational facilities where production must continue throughout the works. Our teams plan each stage of the project carefully, coordinating with site management to sequence works, isolate services where required and maintain safe access routes. Activities are delivered in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring that risks are properly managed in operational environments.

Ambrey Baker’s experience across food manufacturing, cold chain logistics and industrial production facilities allows us to integrate new process lines while protecting existing operations. Clients rely on our team to prepare facilities correctly, coordinate building works with process requirements and deliver installations that support long-term operational performance.
